It wasn't me, just the other perverts in my church!

According to the BBC today, Catholic Church in Los Angeles has reached a financial deal amounting to some US$660 million with more than 500 people alleging sexual abuse by priests, the plaintiffs' lawyer says.

This is the biggest compensation payment the Church has made since the sexual abuse scandal erupted in 2002. It would take the total paid out by the Church in the US to $2bn since 1950, with the LA diocese paying about one quarter of that. Note the 'since ' and its implication: most of the $2bn that has been paid out for sexual abuse by priests was done before 'the sexual abuse scandal erupted in 2002', and demonstrates the extent to which the Roman Catholic Churche has tried to cover-up for their perverted clerics in the past.

As Cardinal Roger Mahony 'Complete-Phoney' admitted in a recent letter to parishioners, the Church would be selling an administrative building and was considering the sale of about 50 other Church properties to raise funds for settlement. But the Cardinal remained noticeably silent about the fate of the perverted priestly perpetrators in his diocese, though I'm willing to bet that none of them have ever been prosecuted and sent to jail for their sexual abuse of people in their care - the evil, manipulative bastards!

The scale of the problem was indicated in a report commissioned in February 2004 by the Church wherein it acknowledged that more than 4,000 Roman Catholic priests in the US had faced sexual abuse allegations in the last 50 years.

Not content with being 'mind-fuckers', it seems that large numbers of Catholic priests want to be 'body-fuckers' too. So here's my suggestion to deal with their problem: instead of trusting their vow of celibacy, just castrate all the bastards who are in the priesthood!

Oh, final thought for all those so-called Xtian apologists out there: even without a vow of celibacy clerics are not allowed to sexually abuse those who are in their care, but then those of us who do not get our morality out of the Bible already know that.

Roman Catholicism is THE true church - ALL the rest are impostors!

Well, according to the BBC, that's today's message from the loonie on the left, former Cardinal Ratsarse, now Pope Benedict Maledict.

According to the BBC's report, Il Poopoo...
...has approved a new text asserting that Christian denominations outside Roman Catholicism are not true Churches in the full sense of the word.

The document, issued by a Vatican watchdog, has been criticised as offensive by some Protestants.

The text was written by the Vatican's Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, headed by Pope Benedict before his election as Pope.

It states that Christ established only one Church here on earth.

Other Christian denominations, it argues, cannot be called Churches in the proper sense because they cannot trace their bishops back to Christ's original apostles.

What a laugh.

Perhaps Il Popsicle would care to explain how the Roman Catholic church can trace its bishops back to Christ's original apostles when it cannot even prove that 'Christ' ever existed in the first place, and that even if 'He' did much of which is attributed to 'Him' was simply made up by them to enhance their own power and prestige?

Even the 'Jesus Seminar' which comprised of 135 New Testament scholars and which spent some 15 years investigating the words attributed to 'Christ' - whose existence it took as a given - came to the conclusion that 82% of everything attributed to him had simply been fabricated by the church in the first place, and of the remaining 18% which were genuinely attributable, none of them were of special merit or particularly noteworthy.

Interestingly enough, a follow-on from the Jesus Seminar is the 'Jesus Project', which has been initiated by the Committee for the Scientific Examination of Religion. The Jesus Project is described as 'the first methodologically agnostic approach to the question of Jesus’ historical existence', and if it concludes that there is no plausible evidence for the existence of 'Christ' - and if there is, we have still to find it - then Roman Catholicism will not be able to claim that it is a 'real' church either! Guffaw!

Of course, all this bickering about what is a 'real' church begs the question: what the fuck is a church, except for a bunch of control-freaks trying to impose their own psychopathology on others in order to boost their own defective psyches?

Church Admits God IS NOT Omnipotent!

Interesting article on the BBC today regarding the horse-trading going on at the general synod of the Church of England which, inter alia, hides the tacit admission that 'God' is not the omnipotent, all-seeing entity that theologians and clerics of all stripes would like us to believe. In fact, it would seem that 'God' is not only rather myopic, but that he suffers from glaucoma and macular degeneration as well - and perhaps even retinal apoptosis in addition, for it seems that 'He' cannot see much of what is going on around 'Him'.

According to Robert Pigott, the Religious Correspondent for the BBC...
The synod ... couldn't be faulted for its steadfast support of the institution of marriage...

There's been some alarm in Church circles at the steady decline in the number of couples opting for matrimony. Figures last month showed the lowest rate ever.

It also faces intense competition from clubs, hotels, and even beaches in far-off countries to host the event.

The result was a measure significantly extending the choice of parish churches open to couples.

And then he adds these telling comments...

There still seems to be a feeling that a church is the "proper" place to get married.

The Church's own research suggests that people feel vows made in the sight of God carry more weight than those made elsewhere.

Seems to me that is a tacit admission that 'God' can see only what's going on in church which, by definition, means that 'He' is not omnipotent if 'He' can't see into registry offices, clubs, hotels, and even beaches in far-off countries, or any of the alternative venues that people prefer to be married in rather than a church and officiated over by a hypocritical cleric muttering superstitious mumbo-jumbo.

Mind you, given that church attendance in the UK is a minority hobby, indulged in solely by the credulous , the needy, the ignorant, the delusional, the hypocritical, and the would-be social climbers, or a combination thereof, it is hardly surprising that these ne'er-do-well clerics with their sinecures are becoming increasingly worried that they will soon have little to do except talk amongst themselves.

Still, they could always occupy themselves with a modern variation of the hoary question, "How many angels could stand on the head of a pin?"with this one, "How many clerics have sexually abused people?"

Funny how 'God' didn't see any of that going on either!

Mad Bastards Bishops Babble Gibberish!

This mentally defective buffoon and escapee from a lunatic asylum is none other that the Rt Rev Graham Dow, Bishop of Carlisle, who, according to today's 'The Daily Telegraph' has claimed that the floods which have inundated parts of the UK and have devastated swathes of the country are God's judgement on the immorality and greed of modern society.

According to 'The Daily Telegraph', Doolally Dow declaimed these inundations to be...
"...a strong and definite judgment because the world has been arrogant in going its own way. We are reaping the consequences of our moral degradation, as well as the environmental damage that we have caused. We are in serious moral trouble because every type of lifestyle is now regarded as legitimate. In the Bible, institutional power is referred to as 'the beast', which sets itself up to control people and their morals. Our government has been playing the role of God in saying that people are free to act as they want. The sexual orientation regulations [which give greater rights to gays] are part of a general scene of permissiveness. We are in a situation where we are liable for God's judgment, which is intended to call us to repentance. [The West] has set up dominant economic structures that are built on greed and that keep other nations in a situation of dependence. The principle of God's judgment on nations that have exploited other nations is all there in the Bible"

As 'The Daily Telegraph' succinctly puts it...

"[Dow] has even claimed that laws that have undermined marriage, including the introduction of pro-gay legislation, have provoked God to act by sending the storms that have left thousands of people homeless.
And it serves you homophiles right. If you hadn't got up God's nose, He wouldn't have had to show you how pissed off He was!

What's that? You're not a homophile? You're just some poor innocent schmuck who is the victim of Bastard Bishop Dow's psychopathological delusions that his malignant 'god' exists, when ALL sane people know that his so-called 'God' does not exist outwith his own fevered imagination! Ah, but that's where you're wrong, for the Buffoon Bishop of Carlisle was joined in his gleeful support for the suffering of innocents by his mates in the higher echelons of the Church of England clergy.

None other than the Bastard Bishop of Liverpool, the Rt Rev James Jones, who added his tuppence-worth...
"People no longer see natural disasters as an act of God. However, we are now reaping what we have sown. If we live in a profligate way then there are going to be consequences. We have a responsibility in this and God is exposing us to the truth of what we have done."

Not to be outdone, The Rt Rev Richard Chartres, Bishop of London, said:
"We are all part of the problem and part of the solution. Instead of living as if we owned the earth we need to recover a sense of being participants in a web of life with responsibilities to other life forms and to our children."

But the Idiot Bastard Bishop Dow does not agree with Chartres, since the former opines that we do not owe any responsibility towards homosexuals; on the contrary, just by showing them the respect that they deserve as fellow human beings is to bring down the wrath of that sick prelate's malevolent so-called 'god' on our heads.

All I can say in conclusion is that it is a great pity that the floods didn't drown ignorant delusional psychotic cunts like Dow and his ilk!
